In my post-doctoral research I seek to further develop my attempt to construct a philosophically relevant history of science. More precisely, I shall study Newton's methodological influence on the work of two notable Victorians: William Whewell and John S. Mill. I will focus on their (1) ontology, (2) epistemology, and (3) scientific and philosophical methodology.
