The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers who investigate different aspects of the conceptual development that the concepts of space and time underwent in the seventeenth century, by analyzing the problems that confronted natural philosophers at the time. All contributions start from the relevant primary sources but pay close attention the philosophical issues involved. The occasion for the organisation of the workshop is Andrew Janiak’s forthcoming book “Newton as Philosopher” (Cambridge University Press), which will be presented in a public lecture by the author.
